FAQ

Straight answers to the questions we get most.

What areas does Jacob's Tree Service cover?+

We're based in Dickson, TN and serve Dickson County plus Nashville, Franklin, Bellevue, Fairview, Burns, White Bluff, Charlotte, Kingston Springs, Pegram, Ashland City, and surrounding Middle Tennessee communities.

Are you insured?+

Yes — Jacob's Tree Service carries general liability and workers' compensation. A certificate of insurance can be sent to you, your HOA, or your property manager before we begin any work.

Do you offer free estimates?+

Absolutely. Most estimates are free, in writing, and delivered within 24–48 hours. For emergency storm calls we quote right there on the phone or on-site.

How much does tree removal cost?+

Residential tree removals in our area typically range from $400 to $2,800 depending on size, access, and rigging complexity. Very large or hazardous trees may run more. You get a firm written quote before any work begins.

Do you top trees?+

No. Topping ruins structure, invites decay, and produces weak regrowth that fails in storms. We use ISA-recommended reduction cuts back to lateral branches.

When is the best time to trim trees?+

Late winter (January–March) is ideal for most deciduous trees. That said, dead, damaged, or hazardous limbs can and should be removed year-round.

Do you handle emergency storm calls at night?+

Yes — we respond 24/7/365. Call (615) 308-7514 anytime. Most emergency calls see a crew on-site within 1–3 hours.

Will you help with my insurance claim?+

Yes. We photograph the damage, provide detailed itemized invoices, and format everything to make your homeowners insurance claim smoother.

What happens to the wood and debris?+

By default we haul everything off. If you want firewood-length rounds or want to keep chips for mulch, just say the word — we'll leave what you want and take the rest.

Do you grind stumps too?+

Yes. Stump grinding is a separate service, and we discount it heavily when bundled with the tree removal on the same visit.

Can I get a discount if I have multiple trees?+

Yes. Multi-tree and multi-service bundles almost always get a better per-tree rate. Ask when we come out.

How do I pay?+

We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. Payment is due after the job is complete and you're satisfied. No deposits required for standard residential work.
